No Joke

Hey guys. I try to keep things as light and silly as possible on this blog, but this weather deserves a more serious tone.

Right now in Southeast Baltimore, visibility is at less than half a block. Headlights are worth zippo right now. There are police stationed at most major intersections and they are stopping motorists. Please, no matter how bored you are, no matter how necessary the trip seems — stay indoors. Don’t even walk if you don’t have to. The temperature is 21° and falling, while the wind is getting stronger as the day progresses.

Please, stay inside and watch a movie, read a book, or cuddle with your puppy.

EDIT: I should also say that fire and rescue personnel are having just as much trouble with the road/visibility conditions as everyone else, so please don’t make any additional work for them.
